I'll go ahead and admit it, this is my first time.  Being as it is my first time, I had some ideas of how it might play out, things I'd seen in pictures or heard stories about but wasn't quite sure about what to expect.  Just to be clear, we're talking about the Wanderlust Yoga and Music Festival here in Stratton Vermont.  Gather hundreds of yogis and an all star line up of teachers, healers, performers and musicians and you have a recipe for a one-of-a-kind experience.  Here have been some of the highlights and observations of the past 48 hours here in Stratton.

Stratton is the new Disneyland.  Mover over Magic Kingdom, Mickey and Minny have been replaced by the likes of Rodney Yee and Seane Corn, the yogi celebs that everyone is clamoring to get a glimpse of, shake hands with or snap a photo for Facebook.  Meander down the main street but don’t forget your yoga mat, tribal tattoo and stainless steel water bottles, it’s a magical place, where dreams come true.
661 Yogi's have great taste.  Hot dogs, funnel cakes and Budweiser T-shirts,   seems to be the average American flair for any concert, festival or outdoor experience, but here at Wanderlust there’s a slight deviation.  The Juice Pirate truck from Brooklyn making fresh green juices with coconut meat and hemp powder has a line wrapped around the corner, happy hour consists of tapping the Kombucha Brooklyn Keg and if you’re in the right place at the right time, lunch consists of an organic curry carrot flax seed veggie burger bought straight from the family that cooked in and drove it in from the farm with their coolers, Cracker Jack’s…step aside.
662 The Yoga doesn’t stop with the mat.  As Lama Marut said this morning, “Yogi’s are rebels” and they tend to be the type that doesn’t settle for status quo.  While yoga on the mat is an experience in itself, at Wanderlust you’re able to take your practice to the next level, and by level we mean the paddle board, hula hoop and slack line suspended over grass or water.  The desire of yogi’s to transcend their physical body and reach new heights has now become a reality here in Vermont.

Defying limitations, gravity and your common taste buds - - Wanderlust Festival knows how to hit the spot and satisfy all the vices of even the most seasoned yogi’s.
