Wanderlust Festival kicked off with a bang on Thursday with thousands of yogis taking over Squaw Valley USA to bend, stretch, open, and rock out in community celebration. The prana is flowing in full force and things are only going to get more exciting from here! Check out some of our favorite highlights from day 1 below.

Garth Stevenson's 8:00am Morning Meditation Hike
Garth hiked his 160 year old bass and 50 yogis and yoginis to a chill waterfall scene. Playing tracks from his recent release "Flying", yogis found peace overlooking the beautiful greenery that Squaw has to offer.Garth will be leading his morning meditation hikes every morning of the festival, be sure to check one out. Looking for more of Garth's music? Head on over to his store here to buy "Flying".

Jonny Kest's "Beautiful Mind | Beautiful Body:
Vinyasa Rasayana Yoga"
Jonny brought his signature juicy vinyasa class to Wanderlust on Thursday for a 10:30am free flowing class at the Gaiam tent. Throughout the class yogis learned how harness the breath and let go to enhance the sweetness and flow of their daily lives. Best part of the class? Listening to remixes of The Doors by a live DJ while we did handstands and sun salutations. Rasayana is the path of rejuvenation and vinyasa is the path of fluidity. Pretty awesome.

Shiva Rea's Rivers of Prana in the Gaiam Tent
Take me to the river! Shiva offered her signiture Prana Flow energetic vinyasa to a packed house Thursday afternoon at the Gaiam Tent. Accompanied by Steve Gold and his full band, Rivers of Prana was an energetic awakening and a beautiful way to bring home an amazing full day of classes at Wanderlust. Shiva will be accompanied by Steve Gold and his band throughout the weeekend. Be sure to check out some more amazing Prana Flow action.

Day One Music - Jai Uttal, the legendary Wailers, and more!
"Hot Club Wanderlust" kicked the Wanderlust muscial festivities off in style at 4:30 at eclectic Rue Boheme, right in the middle of Kula Village. The vibe stayed high as we "got our dance on" with DJ Kaminanda at the Anusara Pavilion. And then, as the sun set, Kirtan Rocker and mantra dropper Jai Uttal offered Wanderlusters an hour of uninhibited ecstatic celebration which led right into a magical set by the one, the only, the legendary Wailers.
