Thank You Wanderlust California!

Hats and mats off to all the Wanderlusters who made our third annual California event such an amazing experience. It was beautiful to watch the magic unfold day after day -- thank you to all the teachers, musicians, volunteers, staff, vendors, sponsors and attendees who helped make Wanderlust California a truly unforgettable experience. We hope to see all of your smiling faces again next year, and in the meantime, check out our digital scrapbook of video and photo highlights below.

Wanderlust Festival kicked off with a bang on Thursday with thousands of yogis taking over Squaw Valley USA to bend, stretch, open, and rock out in community celebration. We enjoyed Garth Stevenson's 8am hike, Jonny Kest's Vinyasa Rasa class, Shiva Rea's Rivers of Prana, and of course the music from The Wailers and Jai Uttal at night. The prana was flowing in full force and things only got more exciting from here. Day Two of our journey came to a close under the stars as Michael Franti & Spearhead serenaded nearly 5,000 revelers with a high energy set. Before Franti lit the main stage up, those who gathered at the Gaiam tent witnessed a magical union between Seane Corn and Franti -- a single class that raised over $13,000 for our charity partner Off The Mat and Into the World. As another perfect day dawned, attendees found themselves inspired by practice, pleasantly sated by the sold out Farm to Table dinner, and charged by new perspectives in the Speakeasy lecture series. Those who sought extreme flows kicked the day off with an 8am CorePower session, Boot Camp Circuit. After class, festival goers stopped by the Food Co-op to nibble on some organic bites or puruse the many shops in the Wanderlust Bazaar. High Camp was just a hop, skip and a cable car away, offering many classes, poolside parties, stunning views of the Valley, live curated DJ sets from Yogi Tunes, and beautiful nature immersions. Back at the base of the mountain, Shiva Rea's Prana Flow Movement & Music class got practitioners and teachers alike moving. Then when the night fell, Girl Talk nearly tore the main stage down after the Phoenix Fire Dancers and MarchFourth Marching Band set it on fire. As festival attendees went through their final day, it was a chance to indulge, reflect, sweat and contemplate the goodness of Wanderlust California. We had an incredible weekend of classes, music, nature, weather and yes -- wanderings. We hope that everyone had time to stop by the Om Shan Tea House, the raging pool parties at High Camp, and maybe even a bodywork or acupuncture session.

The classes throughout Sunday brought tears to our eyes. We stopped by the Grand Finale Fun at the Anusara Pavilion (2pm) ledby Sianna Sherman with John Friend and Noah Maze with music from DJ Drez, Todd Boston, Ramesh Kanaan, and Garth Stevenson. There were acro-yogis, hoop dancers, and a beautiful speech at the end from the Anusara crew and Jeff Krasno of Wanderlust. As classes wrapped up, we all went to the Gaiam Tent for one last dance with The MakePeace Brothers and High Camp for a final salute to the sun. Click here for the video.
