Talking Green and Eco Touring with Wanderlust Alumni The Honey Brothers

Posted by shoess on 11/1/10 in Uncategorized

Between gas usage, waste, and energy consumption, touring can take a great toll on planet Earth. The Honey Brothers make it their goal to minimize waste and their imprint on the planet. On tour, the band stops off at green rest stops where they have living roofs with grass growing, healthier food for sale, ethanol and biodiesel made from waste material, and 30% less energy used than most convenience stores. The bands drummer, Adrian Grenier states that "green rest stops are just better" and the band says "we still recycle, no matter how hungover we are." Touring for The Honey Brothers is all about sustainability, creative greening, and having a great time.

Watch this video from SHFT as The Honey Brothers show what they do to prevent making a huge imprint.
