Nancy Levin: How to heal through Writing
"I started finding that telling my story was not only healing for me, but I found that it started to create a community of people who wanted to share and talk about the same elements." So shares Nancy Levin, who gives a very honest and candid Speakeasy at Wanderlust California at Squaw Valley in 2012.
What would you do if someone read your personal journal entries and threatened to expose them to your colleagues, friends, and family? Hay House author Nancy Levin as she shares her story and poetry of facing this invasion of privacy, and the challenge of reclaiming the lost pieces of her identity that eroded over an eighteen-year marriage. Levin's journey is an inspiration to us all at Wanderlust about facing grief and loss in return for personal freedom. "This process was really about me be willing to trust the people closest to me to hold me like a jello mold when I was unable to hold myself... It turned out that the people who I feared revealing myself to the most were the ones who rallied the fiercest for me."
Nancy Levin, author of Writing For My Life…Reclaiming the Lost Pieces of Me: A Poetic Journey, received her MFA in Poetics from Naropa University. Nancy has worked extensively in the fields of personal growth, health, and spirituality, producing innovative events and experiential conferences for over 15 years. Since 2002, she has been the Event Director at Hay House, Inc. where she also weaves her poetry between keynotes, workshops and seminars. When she’s not on an airplane, Nancy lives in Boulder, Colorado and you can visit her website: www.NancyLevin.com

Wanderlust Festival is indebted to Hay House who helped us realize the entire 2012 Speakeasy Lecture Series across all four festivals (Stratton, VT in June 2012; Copper Mountain, CO in July; Squaw Valley, CA in late July; and Whistler, BC, Canada in August). With Hay House's amazing roster of speakers (which you can witness in person at their incredible "I Can Do It" events), it's no wonder that they helped elevate the conversation at Wanderlust's Speakeasy this summer. We encourage you to stay tuned to the Hay House FB feed to make sure you know the next time one of their authors is speaking near you.
Stay tuned to our Wanderlust networks (Youtube | Facebook | Twitter) to catch our weekly Speakeasy Video releases from the likes of Dr. Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson, Congressman Tim Ryan, Shiva Rea, Seane Corn, Irshad Manji, MC Yogi, Waylon Lewis (from Elephant Journal) and so many more.
