Food & Wine at Wanderlust

Posted by admin on 5/9/12 in Uncategorized

We receive a lot of inquiries about food at Wanderlust, which is understandable -- after a full day of yoga, hiking and dancing, you'll work up quite the appetite! But never fear, we've got your Buddha bellies covered with delectable local & organic foods in the village and upscale dinners up the mountain at night.

Though food & drink is not included in your ticket, Wanderlust offers many food options, from affordable to upscale. First off, each village offers at least one grocery store (and wine store!) and most of the on-site features full kitchens, so you chef types can cook with your friends & family. If that sounds like too much trouble, you should visit our organic Food Co-op, which features a number of affordable, handpicked organic and local craft food vendors. Vegetarian and vegan options abound, and you can also find coffee, chai and juice vendors there to keep you hydrated and energetic. Each Village also offers 5-10 on-site restaurants, from casual Mexican to top notch sushi to fancy fine dining. Finally, you should make sure you check out Winederlust and our (nearly) legendary Farm to Table Dinners, which take place on one or two nights at each festival. More info on that is below.

At Whistler, we've decided to mix it up a bit. Whistler already offers a dazzling array of food options, so instead of offering a Food Co-op, we've partnered with a local event, Feast in the Mountains, to showcase British Columbia's culinary bounty in a casual setting. We're transforming Whistler's Rebagliati Park into an outdoor food fair offering locally raised foods & wines. Each vendor booth will offer tasty delights by award-winning chefs, farmers, food artisans, vintners and brewers. Feast in the Mountains runs Friday, August 24 and Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 4 to 8 pm. Tickets are just $50; you can eat and drink to your heart's content. To purchase, click here.

The Wanderlust Farm to Table Dinner offers attendees the opportunity to enjoy the freshest and finest local flavors and ingredients from the surrounding region.
