What does Wanderlust mean to you?

Wanderlust to me is where Gypsy Souls, world citizen's like myself, have an opportunity to commune with like-minded souls.  It promises a drenching of the senses, whilst at the same time offering moments of deep quiet renewal.

What do you dig most about the combination of yoga and music?

Yoga and music are two of my favorite things in the world.  My life has been spread between music festivals and the yoga studio.  As I began to teach more I went to less music festivals. This is a perfect union to me, like two wings of a heavenly bird. Both music and yoga give you an opportunity to touch the Divine.  Music elevates the soul and helps one access certain states of mind, it inspires one to move the body in rhythm.... Yoga tunes one to the subtle, to a refined relationship with body, mind and spirit.  For me, the deepest connection I have felt to the Divine has happened through chanting and through losing myself in dancing.

What gets you excited about this year's festival?

My four favorite things: nature, live music, community and the opportunity to teach and share my joy and passion for yoga.  I am thrilled at the line-up of teachers and musicians at Wanderlust this year, and excited for the alchemy that will take place between artists, teachers and participants.

Three favorite things in the world right now?

As I mentioned above!  Only on an even more personal level I would add: spending down time with my husband Tommy, my yoga practice and raw chocolate smoothies!

What is something your students might not know about you?

I was raised on a sheep farm in the Falkland Islands. My summers were spent breaking new horses and training my sheep dogs!  I would easily average 5 hours a day on horseback.  Tell anyone there that you are practicing yoga and they might say, “if you have enough energy to do that why not help me mend my fence!”

What's your personal mantra?

Uplift and elevate all those you come into contact with.
