Brian began his yoga practice while at university, which cultivated inner peace and experiences that changed his life path and focus of study. Brian then traveled to India in 2010 and studied daily with Yogi Shambo near Pondicherry, India. A deep reverence and respect for traditional yogic practice including asana, pranayama, mantra, and meditation emerged. Since his time in India, Brian has lived in Vermont and studied with different teachers who have shaped his practice and his teaching style. Brian now studies with Will Duprey and the Hathavidya School, focused on the development of sadhana informed by classical texts such as the Hatha Yoga Pradipika.
Brian is grateful to share classes that are filled with yogic philosophy, pranayama, focused asana, and meditation practice. Brian aims to meet his students where they are and work with each student to indentify and expand their own unique practice. Always a student as well as a teacher, Brian feels an immense sense of gratitude for his teachers and the community of practitioners around him. When not on the mat, Brian can be found kayaking, backpacking, skiing, and farming.
