Beau Campbell

Beau began her training with JoAnna Jarvis at Ballet by the Sea in 1996 at the age of 9. At 13, she was offered scholarships to Pacific Northwest Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and George Balanchine’s prestigious School of American Ballet where she spent three summers at Lincoln Center. Under the direction of JoAnna for 9 years she continued her training in Classical Ballet and in March 2005 London’s Royal Academy of Dance awarded her the coveted Solo Seal. Beau received extensive training from Zippora Karz, Amanda McKerrow and John Gardner. She performed with the Malibu Civic Ballet for 6 years dancing several principal roles in La Bayadere, Paquita, The Nutcracker and several original works. At Ballet Pacifica in 2005, she performed the roles of Doll, Snow Soloist and Spanish Woman in The Nutcracker under the direction of Ethan Stiefel. Beau joined Ballet Arizona in 2006 directed by Ib Andersen. She has performed soloist and principal roles Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty, August Bournonville's Konservatoriet and Napoli “pas de six”, Fokine’s Les Sylphides, Balanchine's "Rubies" from Jewels, Theme & Variations, The Four Temperaments, Allegro Brillante, Divertimento No. 15, La Sonnambula, Stravinsky Violin Concerto, La Valse, Agon, Serenade, Episodes, Monumentum pro Gesualdo & Movements for Piano and Orchestra, Christopher Wheeldon’s Polyphonia, Ib Andersen's The Nutcracker, Coppélia, Giselle, Play, 1052, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Cinderella, Symphonie Classique, Diversions and Romeo & Juliet. Beau has also performed principal roles with Nova Ballet including Emery Lecrone’s Pulling to Break, Adam Hougland’s Beyond, and Yanis Pikieris & David Palmer’s Adiemus. Beau has also performed as a guest artist with Post:Ballet for three seasons, most recently in ‘Triads’ dancing principal roles in Robert Dekkers Milieu, Colouring, Interference Pattern, Flutter, When in Doubt and Happiness of Pursuit. She also recently danced a new work “Gro” choreographed by Raychel Weiner at Dorrance Theater in Phoenix. Beau currently performs as a guest artist with Quixotic Fusion, dancing in group pieces as well as improvisational solos en pointe. Beau is a yoga and barre instructor (200 hr RYT) at Sutra Midtown. Her teaching style is a vinyasa power flow with emphasis on core strengthening. She has developed a ballet/yoga fusion class that shows the similarities between dance and yoga and how each art can enhance the other. The flow section is alignment based yoga that is then turned into ballet inspired movement combinations. She also focuses on how pranayama can be incorporated into dance steps.
